Here is Dr. Opincar’s annual report photograph, taken at the ripe old age of 29, as a newly-minted Chief Financial Officer of a New York Stock Exchange energy and engineering company. Achieving this lofty leadership position so early in his emerging career was simultaneously a blessing and a curse.

It presented possibilities for attaining wealth and power unimaginable to this former Indiana farm boy who, just a decade earlier, was slopping hogs, shoveling manure, and shoeing horses! It also produced much of the same hubris and entitlement attitudes and elitist thought processes that lead to the flawed ethical judging plaguing much of postmodern leadership, as described in Dr. Opincar’s newest book.
